SPAB headquarters, number 37 Spital Square, will be opening its doors this autumn for Open House London which takes place on Saturday 19 September. Pre-Raphaelite Society members will be interested in the numerous William Morris connections and original Morris & Co. furniture.
Take this rare opportunity to visit the only Georgian building left on Spital Square, try your hand at traditional stone carving, see some of our archives on display and chat with our gardener. Our technical team will also be on hand to help you with your old building queries. The ground floor and first floor as well as the courtyard garden will be open to visitors from 10am-5pm (last entry at 4.30pm) on Saturday 19 September.
Open House was started in 1992 as a small, not-for-profit organisation to promote public awareness and appreciation of the capital’s building design and architecture. The event runs 19-20 September 2015 and there will be over 800 buildings, neighbourhood walks, architects’ talks, and much more available to you.
Please note that we have no facilities available or wheelchair access – there are steps up to the building and into the garden.
