The BBC Symphony Orchestra is presenting a concert at the Barbican on 10 April featuring the world premiere of Earthly Paradise, a new work for chorus and orchestra by Ian McQueen which is based on some of the writings of William Morris. In addition, we are presenting a Study Afternoon from 2.30-5.30pm on the same day on the writings of William Morris with Morris’s biographer Fiona McCarthy and poet and editor of Morris’s work Clive Wilmer. The Study Afternoon is free to ticket-holders of the evening concert (although a separate ticket is required).
